New Abstract Mini Sculptures

Mini Sculpture No. 7 // Boulder Mound

I started this series of nine mini abstract sculptures in January as part of my 2020 goal to spend more time creating and I finished them right as we received stay-at-home orders.

They're made of painted polymer clay and were created from my memories of geological and natural forms, such as glaciers, rock formations, and coral seen on my travels all over... all places I wish I could be right now!

The painted patterns, in particular, are influenced by memories of snorkeling along the coral reefs of Rarotonga, the largest of the Cook Islands. The reef was full of color and texture in the coral and sea life and has remained with me since my visit.

If any are still available, you can check them out here.
